This conversation feels well timed given the events of the weekend. A reminder of why EDI matters and why it is so important that we build it into our hiring and talent development practices.
I enjoyed sitting down with Koray to talk about the work of the Foundation and how far the industry still has to go.
50% of Londoners are from an ethnic minority yet 9 out of 10 communications professionals (an industry largely London based) identify as white. A long way to go, but there's no doubt that there is more space set aside than ever to overcome a lack of diversity in the industry.
On the surface EDI has had a rough year globally, yet the work goes on regardless, because great businesses and great leaders know that a diverse workforce is in direct correlation with success.
